Some notes from friends and fans

August 11th, 2008

The CDs went out to folks who bought it in presale last week, and I wanted to share some of the notes that have been coming in. I’ll be adding more as I get them.

“Sitting at an airport waiting for lightning to stop in Islip. Just a quick note to tell you how much I really enjoy listening to your music. I love the unique quality and feel of it. Can’t truly label it anything… can you? But it’s smart, and catchy and musical. I really enjoy multiple listening which is really quite the compliment. Just wanted you to know how happy it made me to hear your talents at work.” - R

“Got the CD… WOW! I love the cover. The presentation is well done. Such class you have my dear friend. [Hubby] is impressed too. We will be listening to it on our road trip tomorrow. I have been meaning to tell you that “Once Upon A Time” is the song that sticks in my head. I really like it. I woke up one morning and I could hear it playing in my brain. I love listening to you at work… it makes me smile as I do paperwork, and I hate paperwork!” - P

“Got the CD, YIPPEEE!!!! As soon as [hubby] comes home and [daughter] wakes up, we will be dancing around for sure :) ” - M

“The album was waiting for us when we got home tonight!! It was cool to see my name in the liner notes! Congrats to you for living the dream!!” -G

“Still loving the album. It’s on my playlist right now with Bruce Live from Hammersmith ‘75 (haunting version of Thunder Road), Newton Faulkner, Missy Higgins, and The Kills. Everybody else gets changed on a daily basis, but your album’s had the number one spot since I got back. Like what you did with the band and backing vocals on ‘Your Song’.” -A

“I was impressed” Michael Kornfeld - acousticmusicscene.com

“Wow, his stuff is wonderful! “In My Heart” is so melancholy and lovely. He has a wide range of sounds, which I always appreciate. Some people spend their whole careers writing and playing only two or three different songs, if you know what I mean.” -MM

Thanks for listening!

Love,
Joe
