Let’s Write a New Song 

You and Me
Two great big fat people
Dancing around each other
In very tight quarters

We are, both of us
Proud owners of
Two left feet
Ten bruised, stubby toes
And one very old song

How can we ever expect
This dance to please our Great Teacher
If there is no playful melody
To lighten Her mood?

A good sultry rhythm
Is all that is needed
To move our bodies towards a
Complete understanding of
All of the choices that put us
Together in this tiny room

Let’s write a new song!

Put on those dancin’ shoes
And tease out your hair!
Let’s show Her what we can
Really do with this Love

And high-step it outta here!
